DECOMPOSED
ZOMBIE MASK
For this sculpture I’ve been inspired by an Andrew Freeeman’s sculpture that he made for the “Immortal Masks”.
I made this sculpture in plasticine (sulfur free), it represent a decomposed zombie that will be totally wearable. For the mold I laid the sculpture horizontally to create the section and to prepare the sculpture for the bivalve mold in urethane resin and fiberglass. Once the mold has made I cleaned, sandpapered and bolted it. After that I started to brushing the negatives with platinum silicone and then I closed the shells on the core. Once the silicone has cured I painted the entire mask with silicone based colors.
Once the painting phase is finished, the mask is now perfectly wearable and stretchable.
